去英国留过学的同学都知道，罢工绝对是英国的一大特色。公车罢工、地铁罢工、学校罢工...如果说签证拖延、天价机票、机场千米排队是回英道路上的最大羁绊的话，最近英国大学和学院联盟（UCU）代表大学老师发出秋季学期举行罢工的警告无疑是给留学生活雪上加霜了。

即使疫情期间，也逃离不了一年一度的“教师罢工”。不仅如此，此次罢工还可能是有史以来英国规模最大、参与学校最多的教师罢工。好不容易办好签证，排完长队，结果九月的新学期可能没有老师来上课了。
本月22日，UCU官网发布消息称：本次罢工计划共有152所大学和机构进行投票。小编大致浏览了一下，什么G5啊、罗素啊，反正知道的不知道的几乎所有英国大学都参加了（英国总共就160来所大学）。

目前，UCU还没有通知具体各个学校什么时间开始罢工，但是投票将从10月18日星期一开始，11月4日结束，而如果校方在此之前无法和UCU达成协议，就将迎来罢工。
不过按照UCU每年一次的前车之鉴和蒙圈儿的个人猜测，这次大概率也是无法达成共识的，刚到英国的同学们还是做好罢工的准备吧。

依然不出所料，这次罢工的核心依然是针对大学养老金计划Universities Superannuation Scheme（简称USS）的改革。
讲真，不少学校2018年就因为这个在闹罢工了，这么多年还是没解决，并且看上去完全没有要解决的倾向…
UCU为什么对USS如此深恶痛绝？因为根据UUK提出的养老金提案，未来大学教职工将减少大约35%的养老金保障。
再加上UCU认为，削减退休金的决定是基于一个有缺陷的估值。当时的市场受疫情影响，不能代表正常时期。而从2011年到2019年，普通大学教职工的养老金已经因为一系列变化减少了约24万英镑。
除此之外，老师们罢工还有另外一个原因——大学的工作量上升，加薪低于通胀水平。UCU称，2009年至2019年间，大学教职员工的工资购买力下降了约20%。
此外，英国高等教育统计署的最新数据显示，在英国的22,810名教授中，不到三分之一（27%）是女性，只有155名（1%）是黑人。UCU要求加薪250英镑，结束种族和性别的薪酬不公。
